MISSING PERSONS INFORMATION

Welcome to the Washington State Missing Persons web site. 

The information found on this web site originates from the reporting agencies and they are wholly responsible for errors, omissions, and inaccuracies. If you find an error, please call the law enforcement agency phone number listed on affected missing person’s details-page. Please do not call WASPC to report errors, as we do not have the means to modify the data in any way.

NOTE: If you think you know the whereabouts of any person appearing in this data base, then please contact the law enforcement agency listed in the record BEFORE TAKING ANY ACTION.

The following services and resources are provided by the Washington State Patrol MUPU:

  • A toll-free, 24-hour number to report missing persons. If you have reported a missing child and need assistance in locating the child, contact MUPU at 1-800-543-5678 or MUPU@wsp.wa.gov

Please Note - Local law enforcement must be notified before MUPU can become involved (see Help for Parents for more information).

  • Poster distribution and/or research for law enforcement and family members of missing persons:

The Washington State Patrol Missing and Unidentified Persons Unit can assist with poster distribution or research to both law enforcement and family members of missing persons. If you would like our assistance please fill out the Missing Persons Packet with as much information about the missing person as possible and email the form along with a digital photo of the missing person to MUPU@wsp.wa.gov and a case manager will contact you for follow up.

    • Coordinating investigative resources:

      MUPU coordinates investigative resources with state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies.
