Law Enforcement Executive Forum

Mission

To promote public safety and security through public and private partnerships


Vision

To serve as a national model of demonstrated problem solving expertise, shared resources and training that are sought after by public and private sectors.


History

The Washington Law Enforcement Executive Forum was founded by Chief Michael G. Shanahan of the University of Washington Police Department during his tenure as President of the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs. The first meeting was held at the University In August 1980. Approximately 30 people attended who represented the leadership of public law enforcement and private security.
